What’s the difference between PR and Alexa Rank?

I am always confused with these two’s Alexa Rank and Page rank, I see some of the directories has better Alexa Rank but Low PR or even at 0. So can you advice me which is better, High Alexa Rank directories or High PR directories? for making good backlinks.

Please do advice me on this…

Alexa is the amount of traffic a site is getting and Page Rank is a way for Google to measure your site's popularity through links. I wouldn't worry too much about either one really. You won't see the actual page rank and what you do see is over 30 days old anyway.

Page rank and Alexa rank they both are different but very important for us. Page is show that how many backlinks our website get and Alexa rank is describe the number of visitor of our website.
