I have used a variety of email accounts ranging from gmail, yahoo, email.com and godaddy hosted emails. They all have thresholds on email blasting and curious to know if anyone has had any luck with specific email accounts? I would love to find a best practices for choosing the email client and any recommended number of blasts, for example only blast 50 emails per day for the first 3 days? Etc

All e-mail service providers have specific restrictions on the number of messages you can send per day. I am not quite sure about exact numbers but as far as I know Gmail lets you send up to 500 letters per day. More specific rules for Gmail you can find here:

You can simply use a few different accounts on different email services. In addition to the list mentioned by you I would add myway service. It is very comfortable because doesn't have restrictions on accounts that can be created from one ip.
Hope it helps you a little bit :D
