Hi everybody,

in Page Audit I get a warning about empty alt textes. In the details window the url of the images is "<raw data> image/gif" nothing else. Does anybody know what this could be? This issue happens on my wp-site.
Many thanks in advance,

Attila

<raw data> means that on your page you have an embedded base64 image. In most cases, to place an image to a webpage, one uses a reference URL, so an image is downloaded by the browser either from your FTP or from some third-party server.

But it is also possible to add an image to a page by embedding the code of an image. You may check here for mole details.

But in your case the problem is not that you use an embedded image code, but that your image does not have an alt text.
