My site has dropped from 7 to 14 , I've made no changes other than changed to HTTPS (as Google reccommends)

Website Auditor says Im fine - optimisation rate is the same as before - so what do I look at ? , what do I change ?

This may happen when you switch from HTTP to HTTPs, you can notice ranking fluctuations for several weeks, then it should become more stable. Check this article about our own transition to HTTPs:

If you search Google for this help article: Set your preferred domain (www or non-www) - Search Console Help

It will actually give you some insight on how to avoid a further drop. I realize it's more about switching from HTTP to HTTPS in your situation, however in the Google Search Console you can set the preferred version to HTTPS or HTTP as well.

Also, on the domain level, are you now forcing HTTPS via your .htaccess file?

It happens sometimes. Check for the spammy link to your website and disavow those links and work as you are working, and, the ranking will improve again soon.
