Hello

Everytime I try to use Website Auditor it gives me a 500 error on the "/" Page. When I go there manually it works normal.

How can I fix this?

The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the web site's server but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is.

This response code may often be returned by your website server as a response for multiple automated requests which are being sent by the software when it is scanning your website. You may try to reduce the number of simultaneous tasks under Preferences - Misc Global Settings (set to 2-3 tasks, for example).
If this does not help - send us the URL of the domain you are trying to check at support@link-assistant.com and we will check it on our side.

How to fix it 500 Internal Server Error?

1) Reload the web page. You can do that by clicking the refresh/reload button, pressing F5 or Ctrl-R, or trying the URL again from the address bar.

2) Clear your browser's cache.

3) Delete your browser's cookies.

The 500 internal server error runs on every page of your site when there's a problem with the server or file system that's powering your site. The cause most likely occurs in the root directory, where your WordPress files are, but it can also be caused by a problem on your host's server.
