I'm looking at the video tutorial and it's talking about asking WA what pages to link to when I'm looking to up my ranking on a certain page.

But it does not tell me how to do that.

Could someone take a few minutes and direct me to that feature?

Thanks.

It would sure be nice if someone from the company would answer my question. It's frustrating not to have a response. I have a business to run, and I need some help on this.

Thank you.

I guess you mean the part when we suggest to direct some high-value links from other pages to a certain page of your site. The way to do that depends on how you change content on your site. In most cases you just need to put a link to a page you need to promote on the source page: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_href.asp . Or, if you are not editing your site directly, you can request your webdesigner to put links.

I hope you take this in the spirit it is given, this is not personal. Thanks:

I appreciate the reply, but it would be great if I didn't have to wait 3 or 4 days, then beg for help a second time. As you can tell, I'm pretty miffed. This happens more times than I'd like to remember and I'm wanting better service. So please bare with my rant. At the beginning, it was my understanding that this union would be a two way street. I'd ask questions and then get prompt responses, thus saving me much time. It's not happening. I spent over $700 on this software and I deserve better service.

As to your reply: The video tutorial states that I can ask WA what pages to link to in order to improve ranking. My question is; where is that instruction. I need to know.

Thanks much!

Well, I've tried both ways. Be nice and respectful and receive poor service. Be angry and respectful and receive no service.

You've created an unhappy customer and now you will have just one more person who will not be singing your praises.

Or, you can address my question and we can start over.

The ball is in your court.

Not sure I'm getting you right. Just watched the WebSite Auditor tutorial and saw what you're probably talking about: the video states that you can measure link value of outgoing links that you can hypothetically put on each page. This can be done by updating the following ranking factors: Page Google PR and Total Links.

Then, the narrator states that knowing what pages will produce most "powerful" links, you can put links from those pages to the ones you wish to promote. This is as far as any software product can go, now that you have the analytics data you can decide where to put links. And the way you put links is different in any given case, depending on the way your site is built.

I'm going to submit a ticket, but here is the dialog I am referring to.

At around 4:47 minutes:

"So…if we want our page Certificate.html to rank higher, we ask web site Auditor which of our pages can donate maximum page rank and link from them to Certificate.html"

How do I ask WA to do this?

Thank you.

So in other words you just need to select the list of all your URLs and click "Update". Then select two ranking factors: Page Google PR and Total Links. Having updated both of these, right-click on any column's header and add the "link value" column to your workspace. Pages with highest link value can "donate" best links to low-ranking pages.

It took us awhile to get there, but we got there. Thank you.

I could've been more specific in my original post. In the future I will endeavor to do so.

Again, thanks.
