I'm looking to buy the Power Suite and at first was put off by the monthly charge especially with the high upfront costs. after thinking about it I'm the monthly fee isn't that expensive.

But I do have one suggestion. Have you not thought about just offering a monthly option. Where you maybe pay a higher monthly fee from month 1 but don't have the upfront fee to start with?

Hi, this is my first post :D

Yes I'm looking closely at PowerSuite and agree that the monthly charge after 6 months isn't that big of a deal for the quality of this software. I also think that for those who can't or don't want to pay for the initial upfront purchase, a monthly subscription is a also a really good idea.

Guys,

thanks for the idea. Right now we are not ready to introduce a monthly-subscription module, but we can surely figure something out with you individually - please create a support account and submit a ticket describing what exactly you need here:

Well, I've already purchased Powersuite. It's a great SEO package that has everything I need, so I figured "why wait?"

But I do think a monthly subscription plan might be a good idea for some people, and it's great that LA will work out something individually for those who need it.

I've already found out that LA support is very responsive in trying to meet the needs of users and potential users.

Let me start by saying I am a new user of this system and a Link-Assistant affiliate, but I have been in the SEO game for a number of years and in that time have purchased and used many popular tools.

Am I happy about the fact that LA is not up-front with the Live Subscription details? No Not At All. IMO this is long run going to be detrimental to the sales and longevity of what I see as a great system. Its a new system and its getting a bad rep in some of the SEO forums only because of the failure to disclose the total cost of owing a working copy of the system in bold letters right there with the initial pricing.

As an affiliate I will make sure that anyone who buys from me is fully aware of the costs involved, even though I know that is going to cost me sales.

Personally I find that the Ranking Tracker module is the most important one, but I fail to understand the logic of having a fully up-to-date free system that anyone can use (and which I assume is kept up to date free of charge?) at no cost whatever, but charging those that buy it the costs of keeping the system upgraded.

As far as I am concerned I will still buy, use and pay the annual fees for the the ranking tracker module only as I feel the annual costs of the other modules are simply not worth the price.

If asked in one of several forums that I participate in my recommendations of what to use I will recommend the free version of all the these tools for individuals for personal use, and for professionals who need the reporting capabilities of the Enterprise Editions. I will also recommend that they evaluate using the free version of whatever tools they feel they need and then buy with their eyes wide open.

That said its a great system, far better IMO than anything else on the market and really not that much more expensive than the best of these tools.

However I would recommend that the management of LA take a long hard look at their pricing model and the way that they (do not) disclose the full cost up front. I would also like to see then cut these costs down and provide options for payment.

A last word. I do some reputation management and the cost of removing from the web negative comments about anything can be very high and the cost of not removing them even higher. Best to think this through and avoid negative reputation in order to keep a great system alive.

</Rant>

OMG i feel so cheated about this live plan. 200 plus for a software is already expensive. Now they still want 'coffee' money ! outrageous

I bought this software - all products in the Powersuite.
200+ pounds I paid - and I would pay if / when a big revision of the code was available.

HOWEVER - I FEEL CHEATED, VERY CHEATED, this LIVE PLAN was never disclosed when I bought the software 6 months ago. I use this software just for my own personal sites (2 of them).

If LA offered me my money back and in return I would pay monthly for the software I use - then I would agree with the charge.
I guess I am not alone with these feelings having read other posts.

LA - shame on you - as I recommended you to lots of colleagues who have since bought your software. I guess you can obviously afford to lose customers? , not many companies can say that in the current economic crisis :x

What exactly do you mean by that? Please create a ticket at www.link-assistant.com/support and we will figure something out with you.

What I mean by the comment is that you should not charge up front for your software and then again re charge the customer 6 months later, I feel completely ripped off by Link Assistant.

What you should do is allow customers to download the free version and then if they want access to real keyword data then they can buy it on a month by month basis.

Your setup is like buying Microsoft Word and then having to pay Microsoft again to use the spell checker.
