What happened with the get visits from analitics function ?

Before it was fast,now it take forever to check 600 keywords ?

At least it should have a function to choose "New way of checking visits or Old way"

I agree. RT used to update all Visits in one go. Now it seems to query Google for every single keyword. It used to take me seconds to query hundreds of keywords now it's taking forever.

I'm updating approx 250 keywords now and I've been blocked by Google twice already. The error log states I needed to enter a captcha but RT presented none to me to complete.

I definitely preferred the old method.

Yes you cant check more than 200 keywords and you already got blocked.

Please fix the visits,and return to how it was before.

This is true that the "Visits" command in Rank Tracker is now taking longer to complete. It's because the amount of data to pull from Google Analytics has increased to include daily traffic statistics, bounce rates for keywords and pages, URLs people have been coming to. As John correctly noticed, keywords used to be updated in groups. It's no longer possible as each of them requires a separate task of its own.

Well how we will use the new report function if after 200 keywords you got blocked by google ?

Maybe i am the only on rank tracker that have projects with more than 200 keywords.

I have some projects which have many keywords that I don't monitor rankings for regularly. I like to keep them in the project for reference though.

To simplify my project I have a workspace which shows me all the keywords that have either searches or visits. This gives me a list of all traffic generating keywords (I like to keep non traffic generating keywords to prevent me from re-adding them in the future - or in case they do start generating traffic).

In order to see which keywords are generating visits though I have to check all the keywords. As already mentioned, this used to take seconds but is now not worth my effort - it's easier just to go to google analytics anyway.

What would be great for me is for only visits to be retrieved at first and then be presented with an option to get the additional data.

[EDIT] This may have the added benefit that the additional data would only need to be collected for keywords that actually had visits rather than the current system where it seems all keywords are queried individually anyway.

When i try to check the number of visits for lets say 250 keywords, after 100 keywords you have to enter a captcha now. I really need to have the check visits only function!

I have 40 projects and thousands of keywords that i need to update visits.

It has been 60 days since the update,any news about what will be done ?

Since you cant update more than 150 keywords without being banned or appearing 9999 captchas.

Just return it to the older version.
