I am currious if you considered implimenting proxies in the future for website auditor? I ask because when I use this product on my sites my I.P address gets band by thehost because they consider it a D.O.S. due to the several inquires all at one time. If not any suggestions?

Actually this feature is already available. If you would like to use a proxy in WebSite Auditor, please enter its address and port number to the application through "Preferences -> Proxy Settings". You can also alternate several proxies to prevent temporary blocks (Preferences -> Search Safety Features -> Proxy Rotation).

If you are interested to learn more about preventing temporary blocks in search engines, here's an overview of search safety settings you can use:

Hi,

I have used the proxy settings as you specified and it still bypasses the proxy and gets blocked by the firewall. I tested the proxy in preferences and it works. Then I start a new report in Website Auditor and the first step fails telling me it cannot access the internet and that I need to check my settings.

Funny thing is, when i start the application it downloaded the new version and installed it.

Is this a bug, or am i doing something wrong?

thanks
