This is very annoying! Why workspace isn't on the global preference?

I use the same workspace for all projects. But the workspaces i customized don't show up on new projects. Please try to make this easier.

I can't save a project as a template either because on RT, when you entered url it stays, can't be changed! Correct me if i'm wrong.

So, my daily life is to save one RT file as a template anyway, then i would have to go to that template to copy 4-5 of my customized workspaces then go the new project to paste it and move them up or down. And i have to do this every time i have to do keyword research.

Your team must see that this doesn't make any sense. After all it's a workspace, a one time customized work environment that a user should get used to how he/she works everyday and should not be changed or customized every time new project come up. Do you move around your desktop icons everyday? Well.. may be on occasions but you know. This is how i see it. May be i'm wrong. Please enlighten me.

Well, the workspace is a project-side setting, that's right, and it will remain one for some time.

What you can do is copy/paste the workspace between projects. Just go to Preferences -> Manage Workspaces in the source project, select the workspace you're interested in and click "Copy". Then go to the target project and click "Paste". That way you can do it faster than creating the same workspace from scratch.

I must agree, I would love to even be able to make a general skeleton of my whole project. That way I can bring it over without copy and pasting everything. It's just a little detail but it would make life a lot easier and efficient.

Just bought Rank Tracker yesterday. Love it.

However, I've setup 7 of 70 workspaces and wanted to add a tag column to my custom workspace (very cool feature to make a custom workspaces). This is where it gets weird. There's no global functionality for workspaces.

It's already cumbersome and time-wasting (and just a little, "WTF Really?!" - no offense, love the program so far) to:

1) Copy
2) Change Workspace
3) Paste
4) Move up MOve up Move up Move up x11
5) OK
6) Click workspace drop down
7) Select new workspace

...for every single project I setup. I mean, it's already silly for 7 websites, but 70? I will spend half my day just copy and pasting.

And if I want to add something to my custom workspace in the future? I have to actually go change 70 workspaces manually? That doesn't make sense.

Please make it an option to make a custom workspace "Global" or something. So that you can change it in one place and it effects them all (like a normal relational database).

Thanks for making a great program.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to set up the workspaces the way you described below. But you can be sure, that your ideas will be taken to account developing the functionality of Rank Tracker. Your feature request has already been reviewed and will be forwarded to our Analysts team.
