Out of nowhere, all of my reports, when published and saved as PDFs, are showing "Dingbats" (Symbols) instead of my font. The font in the report HTML has not changed. It's Arial. How can I get it fixed? This is hindering me from sending reports to anyone. Please help!

Are you working on a Mac?

Most possible reason is that your Arial font is missing. Not "Arial Black" or any other similar ones but plain Arial. You will need to add it to your "Fonts" folder or as a workaround you can set the fonts in your system to, say, Times New Roman.

Thank you. This is a Mac and the font did work now, when I changed it in the CODE of the report template.

Do you know if you changed fonts recently? I'm wondering why this happened.

Thank you, though!

Hi,

Was there already a solution to this topic? If yes what was it?

I have the same issue, the font that I see in the .pdf looks a bit like graffiti. I do have the normal "Arail" font in my windows directory.

Regards,

Michel

Please go to Preferences -> report templates -> edit your currently used report template. Press Ctrl+F to find all instances of "font" and try to set Times new roman. Then save the template and re-generate PDF, if there are no issues then you might need to re-download and re-install the Arial font. If the issue persists then please click Help -> Send project to support, we'll take a look at your logs and settings.

I have this exact problem on my Mac. I paid a few hundred bucks so I could have some professional looking printed materials for a presentation in the morning.

The code calls for font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;

I have Arial, I have Verdana, and I have dozens of sans-serif fonts installed...but your software chooses WEBDINGS for a backup?

You've known about this bug for ages and have not fixed it??!!

I've changed the fonts for my report template and it always comes out webdings.

Thanks for nothing SEO PowerSHIT

I followed the Time new roman instructions and at least you could then read the words, however it looks bad and un-professional. This is a MAJOR ISSUE! Can we get some solid support from the company I just paid hundreds of dollars too!

Come on, give us an update or a real fix - we shouldn't have to hack through your software problems. You claim to be the best for MAC but you're software has a major issue and I'm close to just asking for a refund and never coming back!

MY GOAL: Just make an update that helps your software let us choose 1 of 3 fonts that will work properly.
