I bought the PowerSuite partly because of WA specifically, as I wanted to supplement my knowledge of on-page SEO and also be able to provide details to my client.
As it stands now, from my first run of the report on a personal business site - not a client - I'm terribly confused. I've read all the threads but can't seem to find answers.
I realize now that the averaging system for keyword density and prominence need to be analyzed, and that is fine.
However, here's where I'm still stuck.
1. If keyword prominence is high for a key phrase, that is good, right? You don't want to lower it just become more average, do you?
2. How do you get WA to analyze the whole phrase and not the individual words? I tried to use LSI with my on-site SEO and copywriting, and the incidence of *single* words in my keyphrase happens a lot (especially the word "for"). Anyway, the report breaks the keyphrase into single words and does not include my keyphrase density or analysis that I can find. I need the phrase, not the individual words. It's saying I have things like 10 to 30% keyword density for single words in a webpage that is well over 800 words of content.
3. How much attention do I need to pay to individual words in the keyphrase? Obviously I'll ignore "for" and "men" (type of garment for men but not the key element). But I can see taking a look at primary element of my keyphrase as a secondary measure but that phrase analysis is the key here. I think so, anyway. So how do I get past this issue?
4. What do others here do when they need to give a WA report to a client? I can hardly optimize a site with good on-page SEO against crummy sites with lots of backlinks and get an optimization rate of 43% and give it to a client saying I've done well... They sure as heck won't believe me, even if I do have a lower page Top 10 ranking for them.
I guess I'm really confused here on how to use WA professionally with clients.
I also bought the Pro version because you could generate and save reports. What I didn't realize is that you can't actually "create" reports to send to clients. Do I really need Enterprise in order to get a printed-out anything? And would I want to, given the funny stats you get with some kinds of sites?
Any advice on how to fix my issues and confusion would be great. And any input on how to use it professionally with clients would also be appreciated.
