Would you mind sending us your project via Help -> Send project to support? We will take a look at your webpage and provide suggestions. But in general — there has been no major percentage calculation change, so we need to address your specific case.
I have the same issue, says my page is optimised 100% gonna send the project to support. Also i keeps crashing my project when i try to refresh my project data.
The update is returning all sorts of page results, including 100% for titles and other page elements which don't deserve it. Pages checked yesterday that were scoring close to 90% are checked with the new version today and score about 30%. The only relief is that my competitors are only scoring about 20% with this new algorithm whereas yesterday they were scoring about 80%. This version interprets pages completely differently from the previous version.
Houston, we have a problem. Either Google's new Panda algorithm has reduced the PR weight of every page element of every page on the web by 50%, including metas, bold, body, anchor, alt, keywords, etc, or Website Auditor 2.1 has an error. It seems the only element with an occasional chance is the title, which seems likely to score 100%. Nothing ever scored 100% in the previous version.
As mentioned above, all my pages audited over the past few days which returned between 70% and 90% can now be updated with Auditor and they suddenly have an overall 30% or 40%. All competition website pages have similar ~50% declines.
Example - a page audited for a set keyword phrase now returns 36.9% overall via the latest version of Website Auditor. When I do a Google search for that phrase, the page is #1 out of 1.24 million pages. i.e. Google hasn't reinterpreted the page, Auditor has.
The app is now only usable if you assume it's analysing every page on the web incorrectly but that's alright as long as your own page is better than your competition because it scores an overall 37%, for example.
An urgent upgrade is required. If the upgrade is going to take a bit of time, a message to all customers would come in handy to assure us that we'll soon be able to get back to work.
Incidentally, I use Mac OS 10.6.8.
While I'm having a whinge, any chance you can alter the app so that the Webpage Report page doesn't turn into a grey page if another app window is brought to the foreground? ... e.g. when you spot something needing attention via the Report page you pull up BBedit (for example) to make changes, go back to the Report page and find it's grey. That means you have to click to the Keywords page and then click back to the Reports page to make it work again. It only takes a couple of seconds but it's an annoying click click that adds up in time.
Apart from that whinge and the current version problem, the SEO PowerSuite is otherwise an excellent app that has worked without fault.
Guys, thanks a lot for the heads up and really sorry for the inconvenience. We're gonna be working over the weekend and releasing a hotfix on Monday or Tuesday. The new release will update the Google PageRank harvesting mechanism ( disappearance-of-pagerank-statistics-from-google-t5658.html ) as well as the score calculation in WebSite Auditor.
I'm having the same problem as everyone else. It doesn't seem to matter how poorly I "intentionally" make the different individual keywords, it still shows 100%!!!
