Well, I guess you would be interested in presenting some sort of progress to your customers. So you can send the initial report that says stuff can be done to improve the situation and then consecutive regular reports that show that the situation actually improves. It can be either a ranking progress report or a link building progress report (LinkAssistant & SEO SpyGlass) or onpage optimization reports as well - the initial one that says there is room for improvement and the second one, displaying a etter optimization score. But you can surely come up with something better on your own
