Firstly, I think SEO Spyglass is an incredible product. Amazing.

However, when running big Link Analysis jobs (e.g. 7000 backlinks), it usually crashes at about the 5 hour mark. Am I missing something - an important switch or setting?

Also, is it possible to split up backlinks from blogs and backlinks from forums as these are two quite separate linking types (commenting and profile creation)?

Many thanks in advance!

Are those all coming from one search engine? You can split the project by search engines into several ones.

Hi,

We experienced the same issue.

We created a project based on existing backlinks (around 6000 backlings).
We deselected some backlinks factors (-domain age, alexa rank, all PR values) in order to reduce the processing time.
But SEO SpyGlass stopped responding after 7 hours of processing.

This happened several times. :?

Above 3,000 backlinks, the probability that the application crashed is quite high.
Moreover, the application consomes huge memory.

This is a super annoying issue with the software. Especially as many sites these days are having larger volumes of links, and these are usually the important projects.

I've run numerous reports and frustratingly had the program crash at 99% complete and wasted tens of hours. The program is hugely memory hungry - and I have a seriously powerful machine that can just about do anything, except handle this!

The product is otherwise awesome but if SEO Suite can fix this it would be much appreciated.

I've found what seems to be a work around for the time being...
1.) Do the initial link run on the URL, when this is complete, don't go on to the next step of deeper analysis.
2.) Save your project - with the links but no details.
3.) In the main view of the list of Links, select a bunch say 500-1000 or however many you can do safely, using your mouse (select first url, holding shift down and then click last). Right click and do the deeper detail analysis on these (update backlinks).
4.) Save the project.
5.)Repeat until done.
