I have a suggestion:

At the moment it takes around 2 - 3 hours for me to run a link report on any given URL - fair enough as good things come to those who wait.

What's annoying though is that whilst that report is running I can't use the rest of SEO Spyglass at all - is there anyway to make a new report run in the background and keep on using SEO spyglass??

I understand this is a great feature but unfortunately this is not possible now and is probably not coming in the near future - it requires really a lot of work on the software architecture. However, we really like your idea and we now have it on our to-do list - definitely at some point our software will allow that.
