Is it possible to receive automatic notifications of sitemaps statuses to my e-mail? I have found out that google webmaster api allows to get any information about a google sitemap, but I would like to know if there are online services or easy to install scripts that can do this job?
“We do not have such feature right now. Could you please specify what kind of updates you would like to get from a sitemap?”
My site(s) creates a new version of sitemap file each night.
I have a lot of business logic there. What to include and what to exclude from it, how to generate names of pages and other SEO stuff. Besides I have scripts that work with .htaccess mod_rewrite rules and robots.txt file.
So I have no guarantees that my sitemap does not have errors and that it is visible for Google, after scripts have done the job.
I’m checking sitemaps in google webmaster tools everyday. It does not make me happy.
I’m looking for the way of receiving to my email the status of a sitemap, something like “Ok” or “Error”.
