I recently purchased SEO Powersuite and I am still learning and already contacting some linkpartner.

I was also stumbling through the "custom" reports of SEO SpyGlass. It lists a lot of directories, social media bookmarking sites, press release sites etc...

My question is: are they applicable for, say, Spanish content sites (which would be my case) or do they do more harm than good?

Would love to have your opinion on that although I think the answer is no.

If so them please, change the reports created for example in German accordingly because it could really confuse starters with little SEO experience.

They will definitely bring no harm. However they will mostly bring benefit to your rankings in non-Spanish search engines and only to some extent in the Spanish ones. That is you can still submit your site to them but due to the English context the promotion value for other search engines will be lower.
