Hi there,

This is a quick posting to help the users of old WebSite Auditor get on the rails with the new tool. (And to encourage anyone who's not using this on-page optimization tool yet to stop wasting time and go grab the software immediately!)

The stable version of WebSite Auditor has been released, and therefore everyone's software will be automatically updated to WebSite Auditor 2.1. If the auto-update hasn't worked for you, just go here for the download.

The new software has got totally new powers and therefore, a new look as well. So don't get lost in the tool! ;)

Create new projects

That's easy: just click the button New.

Open your old projects in WebSite Auditor

If you had old projects (which were only created for one page and contained only content optimization data) you can open them in the new WebSite Auditor. Just use the Open button as usual.

You will see your content analysis of the old page in the Webpages tab.

Now you can pull the full site's structure into the project:

Go to the Website tab and click Rebuild – the tool will go through in-bound links on your site to find as many pages as possible, then it'll fit them into the structured list which you can use further and check a number of factors using the Update button.

To view the SEO Audit report:

Switch to the Website Report tab. You have three report templates to choose from, and you can create new templates, as usual.

To run the old good content optimization analysis for any of the pages:

Select the page in the list

Click Analyze

Follow the steps as usual and you will get the familiar content analysis in the Webpages tab.

That's pretty much it. The familiar functions, such as exports, search safety features, scheduled tasks etc. should work as before.

Hope you'll love the new tool!

Wishing you traffic and conversions,

LA

Your tools are kickass! There is no doubt about that. Although, I would like to see some training videos. A tutorial section for members using the pro/enterprise section would be very useful.

1)Videos showing all the features of your tools. It does overwhelm newbies a bit.
2)Videos in using the tool most effectively, to get the max out of them. Tips/Tricks and the like.

Currently, I find your products at the top of the helm but without the kind of recognition it deserves.

I have seen the demo videos, but they dont tell the how and why etc.

What would be great for pro and enterprise customers ONLY would be sort of real life video example of taking a website from scratch - doing the Rank Tracker work, the WSA2 work, the SPyGlass work and the Link Assistant work.

Your apps are great - but that is only half the story - you need to know how they work and maybe why you are making the changes.

Here's the link to an introductory video about the tool:

An online help manual for it is also on the way. For now, please check out user instructions on the page below:

Also you might want to view sample reports you can create using the new WSA.

We are already doing something of the kind in cooperation with our clients who've agreed to share their project info with the community. Please visit the page below to check out some case studies we've written so far:

The reason I bought Powersuite was because it allowed me to make great progress without having to blindly trying anything and everything to win ranking places. It essentially does the thinking for you.

I love the concept of the new Website Auditor as I think it's been clear for a while that Google has been placing more importance on theme relevance within a site. The new Website Auditor allows you to look at lots of information relating to your whole site. Only problem is, it's stopped doing what I've always loved it for - telling me what I need to change or add etc to make it better optimized.

Videos and guides would help me to understand how to get the most out of the new functionality. Please please as soon as is humanly possible :-)
