I am trying to learn how to use the WSA. On my site that I'm working on http://www.BatchWord.co.uk/buddhist_crosswords.html the Meta Descriptions 34.5% but the recommendations for my 3 keywords are confusing me.

Words Total: 8 words are used in meta description.
This number of words is too small. You must add some text to your meta description. The total number of words must be close to 35.

How should I add words to the description, when it fits the content OK?

It's only in the tag once, how do I decrease it?

Take a look at the new reports you get with version 2.10. We have fixed some dubious recommendations that were caused by the fact that, for instance, the majority of your competitors did not have the keyword in your page element (but still ranked high due to optimization for related keywords). The old reports that you've been using would suggest to remove a keyword, while now the low competitors' average is not taken into account.

So right now your meta description "Order your own Interactive personalised Buddhist BatchWord Crossword" seems just fine. Another thing to keep in mind is that meta descriptions are not really used for rankings anymore, although they are displayed in search engine's results' pages, so you should concentrate on writing an appealing meta description that will help you improve click-through rate. That is, when working on meta descriptions concentrate more on humans then on bots and densities.

Thanks for the information, just downloaded 2.10 and yes its definitely helped. Although the following is still confusing me?

The Keyword is still only used once, how do I use it less often apart from leaving it out?

My % for the page is 78.8% which is quite a bit better, what is the general acceptance % that I should aim for for my site and when talking to clients?
