hi one question in rt the default search is set to 5 pages at a time what would be the maximum i could use there and does it have any affect on anything ?
You can go to Preferences -> Misc Global settings and set the "Number of simultaneous tasks" to up to 15. Naturally you might get temporarily blocked by the search engines faster in that case, so you'll need to make sure you are using Preferences -> Search safety settings -> Human emulation and/or proxies.
