If I check for backlinks I see that www.site.com and www.site.com/home are both counted as link and this means that there are double url's. How do I filter these out?

Thanks.

Do you mean that you would not like to see backlinks coming from different pages of a domain in your project?

There is no automatic way to remove that, the software can only remove duplicate pages - the same URLs found in different search engines. However, different pages of a site linking to you all bring you link value and our goal is to present as comprehensive backlink picture to our users as possible. That is why we present all the backlinks that the search engines return and we do not edit this list by default. Moreover nothing except for manual filtering can help, because the software would not know which backlink pages from a domain you would like to remove - they all have different link value and very often an internal page with a link to you can have link value higher than that of the link coming from the homepage.

So what you can do is sort by the backlink URL column and manually remove the links you don't want to appear in your workspace.

Thank you for the excellend reply, that was exactly what I meant and I understand completely.

Why I asked is because I charge clients per link and I wanted to use Seo Spyglass as an automatic backlink checker so that I can focus on generating links instead of checking if the links are actually published and indexed because then I need to manually check and edit a excel file.

I hoped it was possible to only show one link from the same domain with by filtering out the other links form the same domain with a click on a button.

Now I still need to use my excel file. Any tips to improve workflow will be grately appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks,

Yes, it could be a workaround. You just need to select all the backlinks in your SEO SpyGlass project, copy them to clipboard and then click Edit -> Paste Link Partners. Each domain will be present only once in your workspace.
