For the past few days One of my clients have been getting slammed with Link Exchange Request from dozen's of different websites. They all seem to be from .co domains and from admin@cranzy.com.

It's interesting because the one client getting this is the only client we sent out link exchange request for back in April. The people emailing us were not on our link exchange request list.

Has anyone else been getting this?

Here's an example:

Hello Brian,

Well, it seems like a person is promoting his/her sites using LinkAssistant :) And you can see what happens when you send your request to sites that are not relevant to your topic - your request is considered as spam. Also the e-mail text could be improved as you can see.

You can either add this address to your spam list or contact the person and ask to remove you from the mailing list.

Hey Mr. Link Assistant. I receive spam from your clients daily asking for link exchanges that are not relevant. I'm considering contact the FTC for your practices, I've started documenting all the unsolicited requests that come in multiple times daily, and multiple times daily from the SAME users. Your clients are not responding for requests for removal, and are obviously harvesting and sending unsolicited spam emails multiple times, with no reliable method of unsubscription. Your spam business days are numbered Mr. Link Assistant admin.

All the link partner search methods LinkAssistant uses lets you find website for link exchange that are relevant to your business and marketing niche.

If you are interested to learn more about that, please follow the link below:

So, as you can see, practically there's no chance that our application will advice an inappropriate or irrelevant website for link exchange.

So, if you consider some link requests coming from LinkAssistant users irrelevant, please let us know.

Does LinkAssistant mention anything along the lines of "Users agree to comply with Anti Spam regulations", or "Users agree to maintain the highest levels of ethics with regards to contacting link partners, in order to keep the world's spam levels down". If the software is really used for spamming, one should be able to terminate services, as this would be really bad for your companies reputation.

A professional spammer would never choose LinkAssistant for sending out spam. :) Our tool was not designed for the purpose of spamming and is not powerful enough to bombard email boxes with spam letters.

As you probably know, spamming software sends out hundreds of thousand emails to random email addresses it finds all over the Web.

As for LinkAssistant, the application only finds RELEVANT websites for link exchange and lets you send out personalized link exchange requests to the emails you specify, which can't be qualified as spam.
