A project I'm working on would benefit from a link directory however the link directory is for an addon domain from the main account and i cannont make linkassistant create the correct links links.

The link directory should be: www.addondomain.com/links/links.html

however the location from the main account via ftp is:

/public_html/www.addondomain.com/links/links.html

so linkassistant creates links to
www.addondomain.com/public_html/www.add ... links.html

pretty smart eh?

So i created an ftp account that would start in public_html/www.addondomain.com/ but link assistant being smart again give me an error about not working from root directory.

So i decide I'll publish it locally to a folder on my desktop and upload it manually. Guess how smart link assistant was creating the links this time.

http://www.addondomain.com/Desktop/Link ... links.html

Please can you tell me how to ftp the link directory directly to
/public_html/www.addondomain.com/links/links.html with the correct links.

Am I to assume that you haven't responded because this is yet another issue with your software that somehow no one has noticed yet?

Every time I use link assistant I get the impression very few people must use it. The issues seem so basic if even 1000 people were using it these issues wouldn't exist.

What you need to do is click "Remote dir setup" and then mark your /public_html/www.addondomain.com/ folder as web root with the "mark as web root" button on top. After that select the "links" folder on the right and click "OK", that would be it.
