I really appreciate your advise Asiaplay. I am going to have to be patient. I ran an analysis several months ago on our on-site layout and we had pretty much everything inline a few little things here and there which we modified and I think we have that modified and fixed now. Our competitors do have older domains than us but a lot of their links are "shady" from unrelated .edu sites and things of that nature which don't relate to our industry but do carry weight. However, I spent almost 5 months researching sites that were very high pr, low outbound links and related sites to our industry. However we just started to add those slowly in January so I realize I am probably going to have to wait until at least summer to see some results. But, as you can imagine, high PR sites with low outbound links are not cheap. Maybe after 5-6 months I will add a couple more high quality links. We already have lots and lots of links without PR, from articles on our company and things like that so I think I just need to be patient. I am working on having double the inbound link juice of my competitors to make up for the newer domain and slightly smaller site size. But long term the fact they are industry related took more time to find, but I feel it will be worth it in the end.

Thanks for your feedback Trucker - appreciated :)

You really do seem to be on top of things, so your rankings should pick up over the next few months (unfortunately some markets are more competitive than others - but you know what you need to do to get results, so all is good)...

When you have time also try to build some alternative types of backlinks and link streams, as well as the more convential anchor text ones e.g. videos, media (if relevant shop feeds) etc. etc. - the things that you know would interest those people / the traffic you are trying to covert...
There are some really good posts on this type of thing (and honestly I have seen people get more traffic in some markets from non-search engine efforts) - so they are a nice addition while you wait for organic traffic to kick in.

Cheers - Asiaplay
