With the v2.4.5 update, multi-word keywords are showing up with a high density percentage. For example my 3-Word Keyword indicates a 27.3% Density in an 11 Word Title and it's only used ONE time. Shouldn't this result in approx 9.1% Density?

Is this intentional or is this a bug in the calculation? I'm using the Mac version and I'm optimizing for Google. Any help is appreciated.

Well the keyword consists of three words, and out of 11 total words the keyword takes exactly 27 percent (3/11 * 100). It would be considered as 1 if it consisted of just one word.

I see that you're right. I could have sworn it didn't calculate like that before...but Thanks!

So would you typically recommend to add more words to get it down to say 9% instead of 27% (which makes the word count too long), leave as is with 27% (which makes the density too big) or focus on the single word keyword percentages rather than the 3-word keyword?

If it is your pages' main keyphrase and it is used just once and in the beginning of the page then you should leave it there. Moreover you can scroll down to see the actual titles of your competitors, most probably one or two will have titles with same or even higher densities. That would mean it's safe to leave it that way.

I figured that would be the case as the competitors are all ranking similarly. Thanks much!
