There is no difference in the E-mail module operation between the free and the paid versions.
Probably your e-mail server has sending limits - either for the amount of messages send in a particular period of time, or for the amount of messages sent daily. Most e-mail servers have such limitations, you can check with you mail service provider if there are any.
If you are still experiencing issues you can send your project over to us (leave all e-mail login details in it) via Help -> Send project to support, and we will take a look at it for you.
