It is really better to get a link pointing to your website to make your new website get crawled by Google spider. If your goal is to get indexed, then if you manage to get a link from a good page, then your website may get indexed much faster than by using the "Add URL" page.

Agreed. You should avoid using the add URL page for Google. In fact, in some cases, this can hurt your rankings.

You'll also want to take advantage of having an xml sitemap as well as signing up for Google's Webmaster Tools.

Also I agree with Linky, about getting a link to your site rather than using the "Add Link" option.

Why has you/your company decided to launch an online shop for shoes. How many brands and models will you have in stock and what makes your shop more interesting for customers than other shops?

Press Releases are not totally the same as article directories.
