I bought Linkasssitant in april this year. However because of the poor results I stopped using it.
But I strongly believe when you pay a hefty fee for software you should be able to use it for a lifetime. I strongly suspect this is not the case with link assistant.
And because of my experience when the monthly service was running is still dissappointing. Therefore I am not going to pay a monthly fee for a service that should be working without issues but clearly doesn't for me.
My request is quite simple I want to work with the software that I've paid for and I shouldn't be forced in using a neverending monthly fee.
If it's truly the case that the software is utterly useless without paying a monthly fee than it's a real shame and I will be very dissapointed.

How much is your business worth for you?
Be an SEO company or just an e-commerce owner I don't think that what these guys asking is the end of the world.
Anything that could generate you traffic or revenue, will cost you money.
In reality, we all got sooo used to not paying for software that now we don't even want to pay for good software.

Hehe ... you're right , even good home use software have a monthly / yearly fee nowadays (Avast anti-virus for example).
It's not like anyone can anticipate the changes Google or Microsoft will be doing in a few months from now and someone has to stay on top of that... this is why you have to PAY !
Link assistant suite isn't made for anyone - if you want to play a little bit with it (the software I mean

)they have a free trial version. If you need all the features, it means you make money with this - or at least trying to.
A software that is built and helps you do one thing without so many people behind the "scene" will have a one-time-fee (Graphics / Programming / Text editors / Games etc.) but in this case, or anti-viruses it's some common sense to expect a small monthly fee.
Also ... let do some math - economics in here if we want to take care of our budget : buy it for 3 years and you will see that the Live! plan will be way cheaper (about $3 a month if I remember well).
If you don't want to pay about $100 at once pay monthly about $7 for the Professional version (you need Enterprise if you use it for more than 10 companies - this is my personal opinion, I have my own reporting system nowadays). What can we do with $7 in a month ... hmmm ... if we enter McDonalds or Starbucks we'll see that the Live! plan is very very cheap !
Also ... you can try using Google AdWords ... $500 are disappearing very very fast
