I am having trouble with optimizing my website. I only have like 53%, but I am higher than my competition for a keyword. So why am I not on top rank yet? It's a little hard to optimize for my type of niche. Can I get help? I prefer to keep my website more private or at least we can speak through private message.

Definitely - please create a ticket at www.link-assistant.com/support we will help you out.

In general you need to keep in mind that ranking changes caused by onpage optimization take some time to happen - around several weeks.

Also you need to be careful when going after a high score - the tool might suggest you to reduce the keyword prominence, for instance, - if your competitors are not optimized for the keyword at all but rank high due to many backlinks. Naturally moving the keywords away from the page element's beginning would make you less optimized but give you a better score (against non-optimized peers).

Dear Dmak02,

In my mind you should be very careful with the recommendations of Auditor Report.

The reason told LinkAssistant in his share. I am agree with him:

Do you know if your competitiors are SEO optimized? I think not. So optimize with care! In my opinion you should know the basics of On-Page optimization.

For instance you should know that you get a better effect when you box your keyword/s in <strong>keyword</strong> Tags instead of <h2> - <h6> Tags. Whatever Auditor Report recommend you: The 'basic rules' of On-Page optimization are first choose! Then Auditor's recommendations are your turn.

This is interesting. I just recently bought Website Auditor and am facing a similar problem. I'm building a new site (just starting out the SEO campaign), and for my chosen keywords, majority of the competition (all of which have PR6-8 and established large backlink bases) are not optimized for at all - in fact, for 3 out of 6 keyphrases (just different parts of a 4-word keyphrase), the auditor is telling me to reduce keyword density to 0% since the competition simply doesn't have that keyword.

I'm new to SEO but I get the feeling that the Auditor is really only useful when competing against highly SEO-optimized sites with similar keywords; but when competing against established sites which lack the said keywords, one can pretty much ignore what Auditor recommends and rely on general on-page optimization rules?

Madcat.

offsite links are worth allegedly 75% , so a dably optimsed site with loads of quality links is always always going to beat you.
That is the flaw with WA , it doesnt always compare like with like and what it should do is work out your links with other similar sites with the same number of links and then tell you what to do.

If your competitors dont have the keyword mentioned but you do - and yet they still have lots of quality links because of their reputation - then you will never win (short term)
