Until recently, the ranking results with the regular "Google" search engine under the USA category has been displaying accurate results that mirror those seen manually in Google from a US search without caching or localization. However, within the last few weeks the results we are seeing in Google are not matching up.
After doing some experimenting, I am noticing that by adding the gl=US parameter to the end of the search string on the PC running RankTracker, the manual search results go back to what we expect and see when searching on other PCs here. It would appear that before this parameter was being included by default, and now Google isn't using it by default on the host RankTracker PC (which is indeed the US). Is there anything that can be done about this inconsistence or any tips on how to remedy? One apparent solution is to change all the RankTracker projects we are running to the "Advanced loc:US" version, which does produce the expected rankings. It would be great though if there was a fix that didn't involve us having to update a large amount of projects.
Thanks for any help you may provide!
