It would be great if it was possible to import text files with backlinks from other external services (majestic, seomoz, simple csv-files) to an existing project, not only when the project first is created.

Im a little rusty with this spyglass as it started to become yield less results as the engines started making things harder for it. I am currently revisiting this and trying to make the tool work for me, with little success. Can someone show me how to do what your saying has now been done in the latest update? how do we add links from other sources? PS can someone advise on how to prevent the tool just comming back with "stopped" for each result in the logfile?

Please try extending your list of preferred search engines (if you haven't added Blekko yet, it's high time to). Also please enable search safety settings to prevent temporary blocks in search engines (especially of you are querying several regional version of the same SE). Besides, you might want to try rotating international proxies for backlink-finding purposes as described in this post.

If you would like to import an existing list of backlinks to SSG, please open its "File" menu and choose the "Import -> Backlink Data CSV File" option from it.
