Hello,

Since I installed the last version of RT, I have received that error:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\SEO PowerSuite\Rank Tracker\.update\commons.jar (The system cannot find the path specified)

How can I fix that problem?

Thanks,

Nicolas

Please try deleting the folder ".update\commons.jar" manually and start that again. If that does not help please create a ticket about that @ www.link-assistant.com/support

I have the exact same error, and the folder does not exist, nor does it let me create a folder in windows with a . in front of it :(

I have opened up a ticket also.

We are working to fix that problem on Vista. Meanwhile, please do manual downloads of latest versions from

http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/update.html

Sorry you had to experience this...

Well, after the last update, which has to be done manually, Ranktracker pop's up with the message: Can't start Ranktracker

That's it, not more, not less. Any idea?

Sorry, forgotten about this post. The problem is already solved. I download an old Version of it by accident. That's why the error happened

I'm still getting the error with 4.7.4 - dowloading 4.75 but this is the 3rd install I have had to do now in /rantracker1/, /ranktracker2/ etc etc.

Has this problem been fixed in 4.7.5?

When I started Rank Tracker 4.7.5. two weeks ago or something (Windows Vista) I got the message from the updater that I had to update manually to version 4.7.7.

In downloaded the version and installed it. After the install the program ran (automatically) and indeed was showing that it was using version 4.7.7. However, after exiting the program and restarting it again, still version 4.7.5 was showing me the message that the program had to be updated manually etc..

I did a complete uninstall from all Link Assistant products several times without any success. This is also the case with 4.7.8 and 4.8b.

The only way for me to run the software now, is to do an install every time I want to use it...

Any suggestions? :?:
