I assume the answer is yes, but I want to make sure.

I'm entering 50 different URLs in my free version of SEO Spyglass, and it is running backlink checks on all 50 of them--a great time saver! I just wanted to know if this feature is also supported on the paid version. I assume so but I read something on a forum that confused me on this.

Thanks,

Brandon

Thegreatpursuit,

yes, the feature of creating numerous projects is also supported in the paid version. Can you indicate what confused you on the forum - will be glad to clarify this as well.

Another question:

I need to check the PageRank of all the links to about 20 different sites. I opened up "Expert Options" and I pasted all the URLs there. Spyglass found the links to all the sites. Great.

But now how do I check for PageRank for all those sites without having to go in and one-by-one checking them? I thought that's what the Scheduler was for, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do it.

Let me know how this can be done.

Thanks.

EDIT: To clear any confusion, I want to check ONLY PageRank. I'm not interested in checking for any other variables. Can I specify the variables I want to check for?

Actually, for each project the Scheduler updates only those ranking factors which are checked under 'Preferences' - 'Preferred backlink factors'. These settings belong to 'Project preferences' which means that they should be customized individually for each project. So, what you can do is to check in each project what kind of ranking factors you wish to update - after that create the task in the scheduler for these projects.

Of course, this is still some amount of work to do - but anyway it is faster than updating each project individually.

Is there no way to update this for all projects by default? If I want to check 100 sites, I literally have to change settings for all 100 sites one-by-one?

I am trying to rank a keyword, so I used seo spyglass to get all the backlinks of the top 100 competitors, using their urls. Is there a way to merge all the results together into one single file. This is to enable me do proper analysis of each backlink, instead of going through the results of each competitor separately.

I'm afraid you'll need to adjust preferred backlink factors for each of your SEO SpyGlass projects individually. We are hoping to make the division between project and global preferences more flexible in the future so I guess this is a temporary limitation. Sorry for any inconveniences it might cause.

Yes, you can copy the list of backlinks to Excel after you collect all backlink factors for them. Please select them with your mouse, right-click on the selection and choose the "Copy to clipboard" option from a context menu. Paste the fragment to your spreadsheet and format it as necessary. Hope it helps.
