I have a project with my templates, status, categories and several links. I want this project to be my GOLD project.

I thought I could copy the xch file and create a cloned project which had the basis of all the informaion I required. It would need some simple editing to change project email addresses and passwords, and changes to the link code.

Unfortunatly I am unable to change the Wesbite address in the Customer profile. This website address is used in some of the templates and therefore the emails, and the linking coded generated is incorrect.

The import function is not good enough as it only imports links, and does not import the templates, categories and status into the project.

Is there a way to change the website address that I am missing?

A better way would be to create a new project for each website and copy/paste all your templates between projects.

When you have both projects open in LinkAssistant, you can copy all templates in the source project (For instance, in Preferences -> Email management -> Email templates or Preferences -> Partner management -> Anchor settings & Statuses), just select the necessary element and click "Copy", and later paste it in the respective settings section in the target project. This way you will have all variables substituted by necessary values in the target project.

I have tried to copy the project as you suggested. It takes time readding passwords and setting up the bits that can't be copied.

I also found that after pasting in the webpage template, I then went to generate the web pages pages, and the project wanted me to create a template despite already pasting in the template.

I was also plagued with Linkassistant hiding the input screens behind the main Linkassistant page. This happened when I went off to another application to generate passwords. I was unable to access the hidden input screen, and had to kill link assistant. After two attempts I have still have not managed to create and save a project that is working. This has taken me over an hour.

Actually there is one small problem.

I past into the new project the link template.

When I build the project, I get the screen which asks me to define the links template. The system does not realise I have a template installed.

I save the project. Close the project. Reopen the project, then I can build the build the project.

Seems to be a small bug.
