Is anyone having problems with Bing's cache date?

I have set up five different projects in website auditor now and all of them are returning 'not indexed' for Bing's cache date. I can search for these sites in Bing and see the cache of these pages so why is WA not finding these caches.

I have tried with and withought proxies and human emulation - no luck.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Jon

Thanks a lot for spotting that! It looks like a bug, probably Bing has changed the way it returns that kind of data. We are taking a look at the issue right now and we'll fix it with the next update.

Seems this was unfortunately, not fixed in recent update...
When updating an existing (or new project run, then updated) I still get "not indexed" for Bing cache date, for all our projects (even though it shows that XXX # of pages are actually indexed in Bing, when viewing Preferences -> Domain Ranking Factors -> Factors Overview

Perhaps check this fix again, if you can ;)

Thanks and cheers - Asiaplay

Seems to be working now, thanks.

Slightly off topic but I don't seem to be getting notifications when replies are posted (hence this late reply). I have the notify tick box enabled but I don't receive the emails despite getting other emails from link-assistant.

Any ideas?

Ok - Bing cache date updating is not working for IP addresses based in Asia (well at least Hong Kong).

I found something very interesting - little surprised by this actually.

In regards to cache date in Bing, I found updating was still not working for me and when Jon said it was for him, I thought I would test more.
What I found is that BING is ignoring the USER AGENT information for directing to data centres for sure.
Also that they either do not keep cache date data on their Asian data centre servers or BLOCK Asian IPs from getting this information.

How I know this is not a web-auditor issue, is that I just tried checking Bing Cache date again using a UK IP ADDRESS - and it worked!

This is very strange as "Domain Ranking Factors" -> "Domain Overview" when using an Asian IP address still shows pages as being indexed in Bing (but page cache dates are all returned as "Not Indexed") e.g. 90 pages indexed in Bing using an Asian IP address, BUT, all pages Bing cache dates show as "Not Indexed".

Using the UK IP Address - the number of pages indexed in Bing for Domain Overview shows as 388 pages and when checking Bing Cache dates for each page - the cache dates show (i.e. not all are "Not Indexed".
For anyone interested - I tested this on a France / French based site.

Ok - it gets even stranger, I did the same for a China / Chinese based site and the same thing occured... an Asian IP address showed number of pages in Bing... but not the Bing Cache date for each page... likewise using the UK IP Address, number of pages in Bing was much higher for the China / Chinese Site and Bing cache dates for each page can be seen!!!

So one has to ask - is BING raciest and BLOCKING IP ADDRESSES from some COUNTRIES or just not keeping cache data AT ALL, in some of their data centres!

NOTE: Obviously, the work-a-round for anyone not getting Bing Cache date data, is to use a proxy (perhaps a UK or USA IP Address).

I thought I would share this, just incase anyone else is finding the same issue.

Cheers All - Asiaplay

PS: @Jon - Perhaps e-mails are hitting a spam filter?
