Hello,
As SeoSpyglass uses Yahoo Siteexplorer to retrieve backlink, but there is a glitch, I tried to see backlink through siteexplorer using WebProxy like vtunnel.com any other, there it shows around 4 thousand backlink , so it does show different results for US and different for Non-US, i thought to give proxy rotation a shot to resolve this problem, but i think it uses local connection instead of proxy connection to retrieve backlinks, so proxy are used for other work.it showing 900 links for me even using proxy rotation and using WebProxy it shows 4000, now i dont know how to work this out.

Kaustubh, the problem is that Yahoo! Site Explorer (just like any other search engine) shows 1,000 results max. Actually, this is true for any SEs' operation - any SE shows how many pages it is aware about (it can be thousands and millions of them), but actually it gives only 1,000.

For example, if you're looking for "britney spears" in Google, in the upper right corner Google displays:
----------------------------------------------------
Results 1 - 10 of about 196,000,000 for britney spears.
----------------------------------------------------
I.e. Google knows about 196 millions(!) pages.

BUT if you decide to go through all of these pages, you'll see that Google gives access to 1,000 results max (maybe even less) - go check it yourself

The same is with Yahoo! Site Explorer - no matter how many backlinks Yahoo! shows it's aware of, it'll always give you only 1,000 results max :?

PS: however, we're preparing a fix that will let SEO SpyGlass find much more than 1,000 results (actually, it is not very easy to get such info, but hopefully pretty soon you'll be getting much more than the standard 1,000 you can get from Yahoo! Site Explorer ;))

I don't think it's hard to get because yahoo already provide you that information by using eliminating factors.

so do you guys have an estimate of when this feature goes live? I will be very much anticipated for it!

well there update came out the day you posted this quesiton. I recieved this email :
We know this may sound like a joke, but still, unreal as it seems, how would you like a 5,000% boost to the power of your SEO?

This goes together with the simple and forceful (but often underestimated) technique that helped our own website get the #1 spot for seo software - a keyword with a 26-million competition (and don't forget that our rivals are all SEO folks, so it was double-challenging to outwit them). What we used and recommend now is analysis of competitors' backlinks. This adult approach to SEO eliminates guessing game and gets you on the straight track to #1 ranking in Google or any other search engines.

How does backlink analysis work for a 100% result? SEOs dig the web for as much info as possible about their top ranking competitors' links - from which sites they come, how much PR and ranking value they bring. The aim is to see your competitor's linking strategy that moved them to Google's top. Next step is to get as many backlinks from the same proven sources as you can, plus a few more links - and that's how competitor research helps literally skyrocket a website to ranking #1 one day.

Thanks to this magic bullet hundreds of our users are already enjoying solid #1 ranking for their keywords. These successful folks used SEO SpyGlass to pull out all backlink info from search engines but there's been a limit of only 1,000 links per website. With no way to find more, no matter if you searched manually or with any SEO software.

Search engines weren't created to help us SEOs - that's why they're carefully hiding all info that might help us push up our website rankings.

Now SEO SpyGlass breaks through this limit and becomes the only tool that gathers more than 1,000 links. And with today's update, it's going beyond the 50,000 border! This means that now - after only 15 minutes of software work - you can know everything about your competitors' SEO link building. And you've got 50 times as much hidden data as any other website promoter. That's your absolute winning advantage and the power your competitors would only envy: you're on the shortest way to win their sweet #1 Google spot and secure it for your own website for years.

And chris, we're not going to insist that you do competition research. You do what you think is best. You're the only one who can correctly judge your site's needs. However... if you want to be serious and be among the folks who achieve rankings fast because they know exactly what will work, and now have 50 times greater chances than the rest of website owners - don't miss the latest version of SEO SpyGlass. As ever, just restart for the auto-update - or go here for the fresh download.

Cheers,
Link-Assistant.Com

Could you please explain a bit why exactly it does not do what's advertised?

You mean you clicked "rebuild" in your project and SEO SpyGlass still returned up to 1000 backlinks per search engine?

First of all, great program. But I have noticed it will not return much over 2100 or so backlinks even though my competitors have many, many more. I have all search engines selected. Granted, some of these links go deep in there site.. so what is the best way to really find a competitors linking plan?
I have nothing but good things to say about this program so please do not misinterpet that as criticism, just wondering if there is a better way to "undig all of there links"?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

I am not sure if there is any other way to get more links - the software already uses a workaround to bypass the 1000 limit of the search engines. If you don't mind, please zip your project and attach it to a ticket at www.link-assistant.com/support - we will take a closer look.
